Program Accreditation

Program Accreditation

In Malaysia, all engineering programs must be accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) through its accreditation body, the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC). The EAC ensures that engineering education meets international standards, promoting quality and professionalism in the field. Universities offering engineering degrees must undergo regular evaluations and audits to maintain accreditation, ensuring their programs produce qualified engineers who meet industry and regulatory requirements.

The accreditation body for all engineering programs in Malaysia is the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) through its accreditation body, the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC). The list of universities and programs, along with the accreditation period, can be obtained from the following EAC website:

The Bachelor of Civil Engineering program at UTM has received accreditation for both full-time and part-time programs until 2024. The faculty is in the process of completing the reporting and audit for the EAC, which is expected in the third quarter of this year, to extend the accreditation for the following years.

Meanwhile, the records obtained from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) through the Malaysian Qualifications Register (MQR) website are still being updated by MQA. Information that has not yet been updated can be found at the following website:
